To mark the Celebration of the International Day of the Child and prevention of gender based violence in 2021, the President and members of the Zonta Club of Accra Metropolitan (ZCAM) paid a visit to Amrahia Basic School in a deprived area in Accra, where sessions were organized for learners, teachers administrators and parents on the need to keep a safe environment free of violence for the children. The ZCAM members developed and shared child protection messages which served as a basis for the discussions. The group also presented ceiling fans and phonic books to two different KG classes in two schools to reduce the economic burden on their caregivers and improve upon the quality of the teaching and learning.
