ZONTA CLUB OF ACCRA METROPOLITAN

ESTABLISHED IN 2006

Zonta International is a service club (www.zonta.org) that addresses issues of women and children through service(projects) and advocacy. This international service organization was formed over 100 years ago in Buffalo, New York. The organization is made up of professional women who have dedicated their time and resources to ensure that women’s issues are addressed to enable every woman to attain her full potential.

WE HAVE

Assembled 24,000 birthing kits
Made more than 9,000 breast cushions for breast cancer patients
Recognised achievement by funding over $100,000 in scholarships
Provided hands-on support and funding at the Eastern Area Domestic Violence Service
Donated $68,000 to Zonta Foundation for Women to support Zonta’s international projects

About Us

The Zonta Club of Accra Metropolitan received its charter in September 2006, making it the fourth Club to be chartered in Ghana. We are a group of dedicated female professionals. Our focus lies in advocacy, aiming to educate and empower women and girls within our community about their rights.

Our Achievements

We have worked for over 50 years to empower women and girls through advocacy and service.

We provide support to close the gender gap in education.

We believe women’s rights are human rights.

Our Projects

Zonta Club of Accra Metropolitan has engaged itself in service projects inline with the objectives of Zonta. The Club decided to focus more on servicethrough advo-cacy as a means of projecting the objectives of Zonta within communities.
