Enhancement of Child X-ray  Department of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. On 2nd August 2024 ZCAM joined her main partner Klicks Africa foundation and collaborators from the New Horizon School, the Haven and Thankful Hearts Community Projects to commission the refurbished Child X-ray Department in Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. The Project which was meant to make the department more child friendly, facilitate care for children and support parents and staff over-achieved its targets. In addition to the general enhancement of the whole department, the department was beautified with child friendly murals as well as a large television, air-conditioning and furniture for the child waiting room and some offices. A follow-on visit after six months indicated some changes were taking place – children were less agitated because they were engaged by the murals, TV programs and a generally nice atmosphere. Many of the mothers who were available expressed their gratitude for being supported to care for their children.
